Successful premiere of the Dukes & Kings!

The band Dukes & Kings offered its first official public performance on Friday, July 5th, at the Oasis du Vieux Palais de L’Assomption. Members of Dukes & Kings were eager to welcome blues-jazz-rock lovers, relatives and friends to this intimate place, with enchanting period decor and worthy of the Dukes and Kings!

From Steely Dan to Stevie Ray Vaughan

Dukes & Kings has played mostly known tunes that few cover bands play in Quebec, such as: Black Friday, Peg, Josie and Do It Again by Steely Dan; Saturday In The Park by Chicago; Georgy Porgy from Toto; Why’d You Lie of Colin James ; Land of Confusion from Genesis; You Better Believe It by Vintage Trouble; Cold Play clocks; a Queen mix (Bohemian Rhapsody / We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions); as well as Stevie Ray Vaughan (Tightrope, Look At Little Sister, Riviera Paradise); and many more.

As usual, the singer and keyboardist Jean-Marc Duquette ignited the audience with his talent, his passion and his intensity.

Thank you to all those present at this show and especially to Mrs Mariel Labbé, the photographers Francois Fournier and Lise Paquette, to Serge Lalonde (videos), to Perry Mandanici (soundman and animation), Marc-Antoine Jussaume (director of the Oasis du Vieux Palais de L’Assomption), as well as Marie-Pascale and Sarah.
