From 4 de Blues to Dukes & Kings
Dukes & Kings is the rebirth of 4 de Blues band, where the style of blues music predominated. New rock-flavored interpretations have replaced some traditional blues pieces. It was enough to change the name as of not confusing the audience. In addition, the arrival of a new bassist has consolidated the new direction of the band, that is to say, more rock, flavored to jazz and progressive popular.
Dukes & Kings is first and foremost Jean-Marc “Duke” Duquette, singer and keyboardist, fascinating, talented, passionate and fiery frontman.
Dukes & Kings is also Mike Dukette, the other “Duke”, you guessed it … a seasoned and accomplished drummer who does back vocals to support his brother Jean-Marc.
Dukes & Kings is his lead guitarist, Yves Larocque, who strives to reproduce and interpret as closely as possible the originality and sonority of each tune, making him a guitarist appreciated by his peers and the public.
The most recent addition to the group, and not least, is Guillaume Hamilcar, a professional bassist born in Paris who, by a happy coincidence, has had already been part of a Steely Dan tribute band, one of the Dukes & Kings signatures.

Having a bilingual keyboardist-singer able to “blow” breathtaking solos and dissect complex scores of Steely Dan, Toto, Genesis, Chicago, Cold Play, Queen, Stevie Ray Vaughan in halftone (flat), allows Dukes & Kings to interpret airs mainly known that few cover bands reproduce in Quebec.
